China Sentences Two for Disturbances. A Chinese court sentenced two people to three and six years in prison for disturbances in Beijing's Tiananmen Square, state television reported Friday. Zhang Liji received a six-year sentence for trying to set himself on fire near the square, China Central Television reported. [Associated Press headlines via GoUpstate.com]
