Patterns of Software. Richard Gabriel's Patterns of Software is freely downloadable from his site - along with lots of other interesting OOP reading.  This was another early patterns book - with a foreword by Christopher Alexander. via Seb's Open Research [justinknol.net - a stack of useful stuff] 7:36:44 PM
