Intelligent Agents are Alive. There have been a couple of stories recently making the point that weblogs and RSS have enabled us externally augment our powers of discovery and observation.  Not by some magically intelligent software, but by finding other people whose views we trust. Who now doesn't have a list of trusted sources of news and opinion that we rely on.  They usually concur with our own opinions and biases, although the odd devil's advocate doesn't hurt.  When I find a new blog, I do a quick scan of their blogroll.  If there are links that I already know, my initial trust will be higher.  If I enjoy the blog, I'll follow the unfamiliar links in the blogroll - and so it goes on.
