Critical Realism.

Ben Hammersley points us to an article describing Critical Realism.  It opens with:

For the last two decades of the twentieth century the dominant cultural paradigm was that of postmodernism. But at the beginning of the new millennium a new paradigm is on offer. Postmodernism is dead. It is to be succeeded by the age of critical realism.

The whole postmodern premise that all ideas and knowledge were relative and there is no absolute truth or facts always boggled me.  Let us all happily jump about on the grave.

Free (or nearly free) Zope web hosting. There's a new free Zope/Plone web hosting service provided by Objectis that can be used for test-drives and other non-commercial use. I've been very satisfied with the Intranet building work I've done using Zope. And, I'm in the process of moving my personal Internet web content to a Zope site. Some of you might the opportunity to test drive Zope at Objectis or Freezope (another free Zope hosting service) useful. [Meerkat: An Open Wire Service: O'Reilly Network Weblogs]
