The folks at Late Night Software have released Affrus 1.0, an “an integrated Perl editing and debugging environment for Mac OS X.” [Ranchero] 6:15:37 PM

Panic have released a little utility application that displays a variety of information on your desktop. Stattoo is a framework that loads little mini-apps, called capsules. The application comes with a default set — clock, date, weather, battery level, iCal reminders, disk usage, iTunes (currently playing tracks), software listings (from versiontracker.com) and email (from Mail). I’m not sure, but I guess the plan is to encourage people to build their own capsules, in a similar way that Konfabulator has a large number of third party widgets.
