Running Linux on Windows. There are a couple of ways you can try Linux before installing it on your hard drive. One way is to use a live cd, another way is to run it on Windows. Damn Small Linux has a version designed to run directly from Windows. Read more. [OSNews]

History of Electricity. The BBC has a trial program, offering selected shows for MP3 download. My favourite so far is In Our Time, which feature history documentaries. The one available for download right now is on the history of electricity. It's awesome--details about the early 18th Century natural philosophers and their experiments and inventions that shuffled us on toward today's ubiquitous AA batteries and hydro generators. Give it a listen and use their feedback form to tell them how much more you prefer mp3 to Real Audio streams. [O'Reilly Weblogs]
