Roppongi Hills Mori Tower Photo1 Roppongi Hills Mori Tower Photo2Visited the new Roppongi Hills complex on Friday. The Mori Tower (main office building) is a 54 story mammoth. The 49th, 51st though the 54th floors are called the Mori Arts Center.

The left photo is taken from the Virgin Cinemas Roppongi Hills. One thing I love about Japanese theatres is that you can buy BEER! Also, you can reserve tickets through your PC, Mac or Mobile. There's an "A-List" balcony, that's for me to sit so I can watch the movie without your damn'd head in the way and throw popcorn at you ;) The Matrix Reloaded's gonna premier here!

They've even got a new spiffy logo.

The first photo is of a Roppongi Hills ad in the train station. It's designed by the same guy who did the current LV collection, Takashi Murakami. I didn't know who he was until I read about him on Tokyo Shoes' blog. Here's an article about him on Metropolis. Murakami-san's lifesize anime's seemed shocking at first, but that's cause I'm not an "Otaku" .. yet. This is a subculture that really interests me and one that I'll explore while in Tokyo.
