Site Update.
Added the article The Distributed Computer and The Virtual Computer to the Other Interests page. This article details my personal vision of computing in the 21st Century, describing the Distributed Computer -a dynamic computer based on collections of network appliances rather than a single central box- and the Virtual Computer -a new processor technology derived from Field Programmable Gate Array devices which promises to change almost everything in the way computers are made and work. Ah, if only the contemporary computing culture and its elites were not so self-absorbed, the technology this article describes might already be at hand. Still, I think it's coming anyway. Better get ready to change your whole idea of what personal computing means.
