Thanks to the 20 people who responded, over the past two weeks, to the questions I sent on 22 June 2003 to the readers of larch-l and the ASLA Computing Professional Interest Group.
In the hope of broadening the input and discussion of this item, since we all interact with IT every day, I will be posting each and every contribution, in chronological order as I have received them.
