Looking Through the ClickZ awards for emailed newsletters, I came across "Fair Grounds News." I'm an extreme coffee fan with Kenya AA my current favorite. Exploring the publisher's site, Café Campesino, I discovered that they only sell coffees fairly traded, organic and shade grown by small farmers. Now, I'm going to have to learn a bit more about this before I comment, but I like their newsletter, their site, and the following quotation, which they featured in January, 2003:
"A little advice concerning our New Year's Resolutions… (Remember those?)
'I recently learned that in an average lifetime a person walks about sixty-five thousand miles. That's two and a half times around the world. I wonder where your steps will take you. I wonder how you'll spend the rest of the miles you're given.'
— Fred (Mr.) Rogers"
My next mile is a new website. I had to commit to a date today because an executive newsletter for a trade association is publishing a link to it in their March issue. They're quoting my main points about job descriptions from a recent article. (They will only link websites that have complete contact information which my Human Resources site at About does not.) So, that's some personal incentive to get moving.
