I'd like to talk a little bit about recruiting staff today. I am a firm believer that if you hire the smartest people you can find and develop them, you will have the bench strength you need to grow as an organization. I will be doing some recruiting in the near future and I am looking forward to talking with many talented people.
I am looking for fresh recruiting ideas. Yes, selfishly, I want to write an article about tips for recruiting staff to help my searches. But, I also want to share that information with all of you. Send any good recruiiting tips you have my way, please.
Several years ago, and lost in a hard drive crash, I did read research that said your best candidate for any job was an individual who was currently successfully employed doing that job. In fact, the research claimed that this was the only statistically valid predictor of a potential employee's eventual success doing a job within your company.
Since I haven't taken the time to go back and identify my research source, I am hard pressed to claim this as a "truth," but I live it every day in my work and in my advice.
No good link today, so I refrain.
Warmly,
Susan
