I participate on a number of discussion lists - none as much as I'd like to - because of time. Today, I read the results of a survey of the members of the I-HR List at Adventine. The new moderator had surveyed list members (she doesn't say how many responded) and found these results:
The top three challenges for HR professionals on the list are:
"Keeping pace with my own professional development 76%
I don’t have enough hours in the day! 59%
Keeping pace with developments in my field 59%"
The top three requested resources (from the list members) are:
"Leadership / management development 76%
Organizational development 76%
Employee retention 71%"
