Well, I have to admit I wore myself out a bit this week between preparing tax information, the three day a week client, the writing, and the other clients. I admit, however, I actually missed writing in the weblog.
Today, I'd like to share some information with you about weblogs, in general, or blogs. I'm enjoying this one so much, maybe you'd enjoy writing one, too.
A second way I believe blogs could be very useful is within your organization. I'm about to install some additional computers so every employee in the company and the plant have access to email and the Internet. This will provide a wonderful opportunity to introduce a company weblog. We can update it several times a day, depending on what is happening, on the fly.
A few people want a company newsletter, but I have heard they are a pain to get content to print from others. Then they must be laid out, published, and distributed. Generally, enthusiasm wanes after a few issues as people wonder what to write about and fail to maintain the necessary discipline to fill the paper with information. And, the HR person or communications person turns into a nag.
Hence the blog, or company weblog. Anyone with a password and a computer can easily update the blog - no HTML coding required. I just type into this tool.

Remember Malcolm Gladwell's Tipping Point that I discussed earlier? Here's one of his key points as experienced by a real-time weblogger.
