For You

The June Inc.com Magazine offers an article that makes points an entrepreneurial CEO needs to understand, internal managers need to value, and your internal consulting needs to highlight. Traditionally, in organizations, we have valued the charismatic Leader,  "leadership exercised by force of personality and inspiration." This is not the leadership role advocated for the future.

"What," says the article, "kind of leadership ... works best for the organization?" ... Meaning, what kind of leadership creates the best results?

The anti-heroic organization is not about you, the leader, but it is "for you." You need to benefit from all that happens. Else, why are you here?

Relate this to your departmental role, read the article, and I'll talk about this more tomorrow.

Warmly,

Susan
