Strategy

In the book, What Really Works, the first business strategy is to "make your strategy clear and focused." There  are five components to this practice.

  • You need to "build a strategy around a clear value proposition for the customer."
  • Develop your strategy from outside your firm: rely on the input of customers, partners, and investors.
  • "Maintain antenna that allow you to fine-tune your strategy to changes in the marketplace."
  • Clearly communicate your strategy to all.
  • "Keep growing your core business; beware the unfamiliar" that might sweep you away from what you fundamentally do.

Seems like a good plan to me.

Check out What Really Works.

Warmly,

Susan
