Dear People,
Next weekend, I'm taking another long weekend at the cottage and won't be blogging. This is my family's annual get-together in the Michigan north country. They come from all over the country twice a year. In mid-August at the cottage, in late December/early January, to my home.
If all my sibs and their kids show up, we have 26 people - hard for all of them to make it in recent years as they grow up and expand their interests and work. I mean, if you're just starting out on a career, you only get a week or two of vacation. It's hard to spend it all in one place.
I do hope you're taking some time this summer for family and friends. When you're a hundred years old, I'll bet you won't be wishing that you had spent more time at the office. Tomorrow, I'll tell you about the lead article in Workforce this month. The magazine has changed its focus to workforce management quite successfully. I recommend it.
Warmly,
Susan
