Americans More Productive - Work More Hours, Too

Dear People,

Miss me?  I spent the past ten days preparing to be gone for a very long weekend over Labor Day. Arrived back today. The About Human Resources site chugged along with daily dripped updates, but I didn't have time for both sites prior to leaving. September will be better, I'm sure.

I'm now in the process of deleting thousands of unwanted email, SPAM messages, and more.

The most interesting piece of work news I read this weekend concerned the fact that American workers are more productive than many European workers, but they put in more hours to accomplish this.

Study: Americans Most Productive Workers

I'm watching the changes taking place in Europe with a great deal of interest. Particularly, in France and Germany, movements have begun to lengthen work hours, eliminate holidays and more. I plan to stay in touch as the wide world of work changes.

Warmly,

Susan
