November 27, 2000 912am CST I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It is always good to see family and take a break from the day-to-day concerns of school and work. I read a little, watched some movies, played some games, ate wonderful food. It was grand. But my wonderful weekend was interrupted with the news of my Great Grandmother Williams death on Sunday. She was my last remaining great-grandparent. Now I hadn't seen my great-grandmother in a few years, but I had been hoping I would get a chance to visit her in the next few months. As it turns out, my parents had been hoping the same thing. But now it is too late. You know, family and friends are important. All too often, I fall out of touch with folks who are close to me, expecting to see them at some point in the unspecified future. Those relationships should not be neglected. I need to maintain communication with my family and friends, or else I may not have a chance to renew those relationships in the future.
