For those of you wondering why I would go through all of the trouble to put up advent hymns, but haven't put up any Christmas ones, you should know that I have been accessing the internet through a 56k modem for the last few days. This is tremendously less convenient than my cable modem at the apartment in Lawrence, so I have simply not been updating my blog all that regularly. Besides, I couldn't find any hymns for the feast of St. Stephen (which was yesterday) so I didn't know whether it would be appropriate for me to put up hymns for some of the days of Christmas and not for others. December 25 was the Feast of the Nativity, for which you probably know about a million hymns already. January 1 is the Feast of the Circumcision and Naming of Our Lord. Maybe I will put something up for that.
At home, my brother has this shampoo from Herbal Essences which is supposed to smell like herbs, I guess. I like it because it smells like Sweet Tarts. It smells nothing like the herbs that I cook with. It might be interesting if there were a shampoo that would make my hair smell like pesto sauce.
Speaking of pesto sauce - I got a mortar and pestle for Christmas! Now I can actually make the stuff. I can't wait to try it out.
