January 16, 2001 534pm CST Ughh... The first day of classes is upon us. This morning, swarms of tired twenty-somethings, sun-burnt and windblown from their ski vacations, trudged up Mt. Oread to begin the spring semester. The weather was cold and the sky was dark. This is not a good note on which to start the semester.
Good notes abounded, however, last night in St. Joseph, Missouri, at the American Barberboys rehearsal. I tagged along to a rehearsal with my friend and former quartet-mate Curtis who sings with the esteemed gentlemen from across the border. I was enthusiastically greeted by the members, and I was even invited to join them. While the prospect of singing with such a fine chorus is indeed appealing, I do not know whether my schedule will allow me to travel an hour and a half each way at least once a week. Though I would probably enjoy it. We shall see what happens, I suppose.
