January 28, 2001 303pm CST I finally got Apple's iTunes, not thinking that it would be all that great. I was wrong. It does nothing groundbreaking, but it integrates its different functions very well. It catalogs CDs and MP3s, plays them back, burns CDs, and interacts with portable MP3 players. This is part of a new series of applications from Apple which are intended to provide a kind of "digital hub" for all of a person's digital gadgets. This software supports camcorders, CD writers, MP3 players, and DVD writers so far. I am looking forward to support for digital still cameras and perhaps handheld computers and cell phones. Now all I need to do are purchase these gadgets.
