February 2, 2001 356pm CST I just heard that students at KU will be required to move our email accounts and web sites from the cool Unix systems to the evil WinNT systems running Microsoft Exchange. To be fair, I will admit that Exchange has some decent features, but there are also good groupware systems for Unix. Furthermore, some of us prefer to use unix machines and the cool little CLI that they offer, as opposed to the less-reliable GUI tools. I will not have to migrate, because I will not be a student here after this may, but I am quite incensed at this move on the part of University higher-ups, forcing unwitting undergrads to adopt a less flexible system for internet communication.

February 2, 2001 132pm CST I think I might switch the discussion forum over to blogvoices for the discussion forum. I am somewhat dissatisfied with my current provider. Not that Vestris has a bad product, but I think blogvoices does a better job of integrating with weblogs such as mine.
