The autumn is finally upon us. With the rain came the chill of the fall, the perfect weather for pensive reflection on the year. Such brisk air brings to mind hayrides and pumpkins and ghost stories and bonfires. Spiced candies and mulled wine are the flavors of the season, and the colors are orange and yellow and deep red and dim flame. Butterscotch and pumpkin pie, roast turkey and fresh bread, smoke rising above the gently burning prairie - blurring the horizon and scenting the wind.
