Executive releases details of crackdown on anti-social behaviour
Jack McConnell yesterday underlined his determination to crack down on anti-social behaviour when he unveiled plans for a range of new police powers, including the extension of fixed penalty notices.
A consultation document published by the Executive also proposes powers allowing the police to break up crowds or groups behaving in a disorderly way and measures which would allow the closure of premises where drug dealing or other anti-social behaviour is taking place.
