You Vote Every Day! Translating "Choice" Into "Action".
Voting could be characterized as choice translated into action - and we are challenged with "voting" for who will be the primary focus of our life every single minute of every single day.
Joshua calls out his "choice of the Lord" at the end of his life by stating:
But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD ." Joshua 24:15
Luke records Jesus' " call to action" in Luke 9:23:
Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
Who will we "vote" to follow today?
Let's follow the choice of Joshua - and the guidance of Jesus and choose "The Christ" - as he alone is worthy of our "daily vote".
