CLINICAL WIRELESS

Sprint reports wireless deal with transplant center

This brief story is somewhat cryptic, and I'll try to get more details but it does involve the Sprint PCS Vision 1xRTT CDMA 2000 data service that I currently use with my Treo.

It announces the multi-year contract signed with the Transplant Resource Center of Maryland.

"Through the agreement, Sprint will provide Novatel Wireless Merlin C201 PCS Connection Cards to TRC’s personnel to use with laptop computers, which TRC said will allow nurses to directly input and transmit large amounts of in-depth medical data to a central database and bypass the labor- and time-intensive process of writing or faxing information to multiple destinations."

"TALES OF HOFFMAN" HAS RELOCATED

Steve Hoffman, VP, Product Management, Medscape has moved his blog to here. He's a big proponent of medical blogs and it's good to see that he's up and running again.
