I love MiniDiscs. I have a Sony MiniDisc player in my car and at the end of each recording session at Spiral Subwave I make an MD of whatever music we are working on at the time. Then I can listen to the tracks in the car and sing along, and often I make up the melody for the piece while I am driving. Singing in the car is as good as singing in the shower, maybe better. I think I made up about four or five melodies for the new album this way.
