Computers in Classrooms: 30 whirring Hard Drives make quite a lot of collective noise...add to that the sound of 30 students typing and you have a serious noisefloor in the room. Do students learn more or BETTER w a computer? I am NOT talking about computer classes as everybody needs to learn about that....I mean using computers during all other classes. Have there been studies regarding this? Most of the information flows from the teachers mind via his mouth to the students mind via their ears, right? The rest is just information storage - notebooks, computers etc.
I mean if it is NOT about the teachers - student relationship then one could just study at home via the internet. I do believe that having a computer at home helps to digest the information, but does it help in the classroom? Just wondering.....
