Local government in the inner city is in a state of flux (as usual) and it looks like that the City Council will shortly incorporate South Sydney (once again). Last night, in the recently installed council rooms, an extraordinary General Meeting of South Sydney Council was held to pass motions on the developments - panorama 5:02:38 PM

Sydney was visited yesterday by the largest passenger ship -  the "Star Princess" - ever to enter the harbour. Here it is moored at Sydney Cove - panorama - large crowds assembled to gawk at it. It was an odd thing I thought - like a floating apartment block, reminiscent in many ways of the land-bound apartments on the other side of the cove, the East Circular Quay development. 9:29:34 AM
