the texture of my heart
and suddenly i realized how beautiful everything around me was
the light in between your eyes
reminded me that only one star in the sky
so bright could shine
shadows could not hide,
never i noticed the wind flirting with so many fallen leaves
what a marvelous dance
dying autumn trees
will magnificiently choose
to honor my swollen heart
birds and butterflies indistinctly
combined wings and colors throughout the air
in a melody out of this world,
such an undeserved ritual
reminded me i had entered
that place were lovers could heal
hurts i swear i have never intended
life so exquisite became
it never again felt like the real thing
how lucky must i have been
to have seen you just one time
only that was the dose needed
to reach the ecstasy of dangerous heights
if i could have only made that moment to last....
the sanctuary where those who have fallen in love
to remain intact throughout moments in time
there is no need for any of that now
for i must remind you life its course may run
the end of the universe could be close at hand
and still, your magic will never leave me,
it will grow forever inside my frantic heart...
