To do enterprise e-learning really well, beyond the technical
competencies present already in HR and IT, you have to be able to marry
deep understanding of the operational needs at the front line,
strategic direction, consulting and change management skills, quality
and performance metrics, information architecture and usability design,
workflow analysis and process redesign, culture influencing, and superb
communication and negotiation skills.

Creation – publishing content within a personal voice Collection – managing personal content in a searchable archive Context – applying commentary to content you manage
From a networking perspective blogs provide:
Connection – discovering others with your interests Conversation – engaging in dialogs on an organizational or global basis Community – building networks around shared themes Collaboration – finding new business partners

The Future on a Friday Afternoon.
Up for some video? It's always interesting to know how big companies
see the future. It's even better if they actually try to visualize it.
If we take a look at personal communications and their implications for
media companies, the following three visions are worth looking at.
Japanese telecom operator NTT Docomo offers an entertaining if rather sappy story in a 10-minute video about a group of friends reuniting, but the underlying concepts are interesting.
Mobile operator Vodafone also shows off an idea of how people will interact with always-on connectivity.

Icelounge. This evening I
was reading Transworld
SKATEboarding describe Icelounge.com as “MySpace for skaters”—a place where
skateboarders can post their profiles, watch skateboard videos, share playlists, and connect with new and old
friends.
Icelounge’s a YASNS with a focus—”...a
skateboarding community where like-minded people come to chill, hang out, whatev. it’s our soapbox, our personal
billboard where we can scream to the world, “hey world…, um, wait, I was going to say something important. hmm, I
forgot. nevermind!” it’s a place for you to be recognized for your passion, skills, and um, silliness…”—even if it
is a bit, um, unfocused.
