Schiavo feeding tube reported removed.
PINELLAS PARK, Fla. - The feeding tube for Terry Schiavo, a
seriously brain-damaged woman, was removed Friday, an attorney involved
in the case told NBC News, despite an extraordinary, last-minute push
by Republicans on Capitol Hill to use the subpoena powers of Congress
to keep the woman alive.
Read remarks from Joe Gandelman, Tom @Corrente, Baldilocks, and Michelle Malkin. [memeorandum]
some of the links on this are, well, amazing to read... I don't know
about the results of the no child left behind program but it is
apparent that our school systems aren't exactly doing their job on
getting people to futher out on issues that staring at their own navels
or repeating the dogma they were taught at 5 years
old. It takes more than Sunday school rethoric to
discuss these particular issue but I don't see a whole lot of that
coming forth.

Despite Congress, Woman's Feeding Tube Is Removed.
Doctors removed the feeding tube of Terri Schiavo despite efforts by
Congress to halt the process and prolong her life. By By ABBY GOODNOUGH
and CARL HULSE. [NYT > Health]
"Right now, murder is being committed against a defenseless American
citizen in Florida," Mr. DeLay said. "Terri Schiavo's feeding tube
should be immediately replaced, and Congress will continue working to
explore ways to save her."
Oh PLEASE!! A women has been in this state for 15 yrs, the courts have
been addressing this for 7 years and your only motive is to save the
one defenseless American citizen in Florida who is at risk? Give
me a break! Do you not hear or see any of the other defenseless
citizens here and abroad who every day face life and death
situations? Nope. You are just doing a wag the dog in hopes
we will forget about your inexcuseable behavior. If you chose to
run with the people who will use a child in a wheelchair for their own
purpose, you deserve what you are going to get from the
public. THis projection that is coming out of the
conservative community is getting really, really really, really
old. Own your shadow side folks.

Mid-life Crisis: I Don't Think So.
I finally--finally!--got the boat of my dreams last weekend. Yes, after
at least 10 years of repressed boat lust I am now the proud owner of a Hewes Redfisher 18 foot flats boat.
My
wife has been pretty patient with me as I went into the death throes of
satisfying my long repressed urge for this particular boat. Lucky for
me the funding for said boat is possible without having to dip into
the... [Brain Frieze]
