• Novel Uses - Camera Phone - a round up of the novel ways camera phones have been used this year by individuals and businesses. • The Phenomenology of Synaesthesia [pdf; via Cluster] -- fantastic paper summarising Ramachandran and Hubbard's research into how synaesthesia manifests: how the font affects letters being seen as colours; on martian tints and more. I love this sort of stuff. My notes. [Interconnected]

• IFTF's Map of the Decade (you can also check other research resports by Institute for the Future).  The pdf is a bit difficult to read - Lilia has made an easy-to-grasp quick shortlist of trends at her post.  [Mathemagenic]

• A Graveyard of Dead Logos - The Stone Twins in Amsterdam have published what appears to be a beautiful book, Logo, RIP. Featuring 20,000 words and 50 illustrations in just under 200 pages, the book has an accompanying Web gallery as a "commemoration of dead logotypes." [Fast Company Now]

• The Arlington Institute's -  Vision of the Future -  a collection of scenarios for the future.
