Sharing with new ITunes Wanna share again? Blurbs: a new utility that restores Internet sharing to iTunes 4.0.1; Acrobat 6 reviews; Finder bugs; and a useful drag-and-drop hint. [Daring Fireball] 7:45:37 PM comment []; |
Oh No, Apple!
iSync brought 20 new devices under the umbrella, from several different handset manufacturers. Bluetooth has always been dogged with compatibility issues, and this was a disaster waiting to happen. But it didn't have to be this way, had Apple abandoned its traditional secrecy policy a smidgen, and undergone a real beta program with real users. This need not even have been a public beta. However the most catastrophic bugs could have found within hours. On the iSync fiasco that didn't have to happen. Apple's paranoia is inhibiting Quality [The Register] 6:34:23 PM comment []; |
Another "Thumb's Up" for Apple Music StoreApple's iTunes Music Store Is A Winner : Apple's iTunes Music Store is by far the best of the three services and may be the beacon that finally draws users to pay for play. (PC World via MyAppleMenu) [MyAppleMenu] 6:17:11 PM comment []; |

From Adam Curry...
iSync1.1 doesn't sync iCal. I was sooo happy that Apple released iSync1.1 that is supposed to work with my new Nokia 3650. Which is does, only not completely as advertised: iCal doesn't sync with the contacts database (yet). In fact the calendar sync options are greyed out. Bummer. [Adam Curry: Adam Curry's Weblog] |
Bugbear Virus is BackGreat, just great. The bugbear virus is back and is supposed to be worse than the first one. Bugbear sequel spells fresh misery for Windows users. Another nasty, and fast spreading, mass mailer [The Register] 6:07:40 PM comment []; |
