Chris Pirillo on Rush

Is it me or does Chris Pirillo not think much of Rush's new found affection for Apple? I personally am happy anyone has anything positive to say about Apple and / or Macs. We have been so far down on the list for so long, it is refreshing for them to be the topic of discussion.
I would love to use only Macs but can't due to the cost. I wonder, if Macs became more mainstream, wouldn't the cost be driven down? Hmm?
Rush is an ID10T. And I quote: "The G5 is going to go to 64 bits, and it's going to change everything." Excuse me, but what does this political pundit know about technology? Just because he can connect a USB cable to the back of his Mac doesn't mean he's qualified to tell me that a 64-bit hardware platform is going to change "everything." It's a bullshit quote, and and I challenge him to tell me (and the rest of the world) WHY it's going to change "everything." He makes it sound as though Apple has discovered fire or something. Please, Rush - you don't hear me talking about governmental policies that I don't understand. Methinks you've got a little PEBKAC going on. I'm a registered Republican, FWIW.... [C:PIRILLO.EXE]

How Apple's DRM works
I have to use my iPod with my PC because I have no Firewire on my Mac. I have just got to get a new Mac!
The author of the excellent PodWorks iPod utility is working on reverse-engineering the DRM in Apple's iTunes Store AAC files, documenting the ways in whcih the DRM restricts your use of the file, and how those restrictions may be defeated.

Instrument problem keeps Landsat offline
Geez, wonder how much we spent on this piece of crap?
A problem with the Landsat 7 remote sensing spacecraft has rendered the spacecraft essentially useless... [spacetoday.net]
