Went to the Food Court today and had lunch with Dorothy and her father.  I've never been to this place so I was kind of excited to nosh on something new.  Dorothy's father asked if I wanted some smelly tofu and I immediately nodded and smiled in anticipation.  If you do not already know smelly tofu is kinda stinky but when eaten with spicy sauce, it is just delectible.

We went to Kim's house after that to pay them a visit and to get Kim to sign the lease on Dorothy's Parents' house where Kim will be moving to.  We ended up staying for dinner and spent the rest of the day chatting the night with Dorothy's Aunt and her cousin Kathy.

Daylight Savings time starts tonight.  Make sure you set your clocks an hour early...

I just applied for the Freedom Credit Card from Chase Bank. It has an introductory offer of a 6% rebate on gasoline purchases and then 3% after 90 days.  Also any purchases that I make with the card besides gas gets a 1% rebate.  I tried to apply on line but the link just sent me to their website and I could not find the card there, so I decided to call them instead.  The application took less than 15 minutes!  Took me longer to search for it over at the Chase website.  Ill find out the result in three weeks.  Meanwhile I cancelled my CapitalOne Mastercard which had a $300.00 credit limit.  Ive had that card for over 3 years now and I also have a Visa card with CapitalOne too. In those years that I have owned the Mastercard, CapitalOne never increased my credit limit.  I averaged $150.00 in purchases on it every month!  Although I rarely put over $500.00 on any credit card, its always good to have a card with status. Its funny that last year, CapitalOne increased my credit limit on my Visa card which I used frequently for a period of 3 months last year.  CapitalOne increased it to $850.00.  Ill never figure out how credit card companies decided on these increases.

In my blog at work I posted this story.  I should have posted it here in the beginning.

It appears that SARS is moving on up...

In Asian-American Neighborhoods, Fear and Precaution Are Spreading. From City Hall to city parks where the locals play mah-jongg and practice tai chi, the talk of this affluent Los Angeles suburb, known as the Chinese Beverly Hills, is of little else these days but the mysterious respiratory illness SARS. I have made an aggreement with Dottie tonight.  In order for me to remain with her I have to achieve a few goals before the end of this year.

  • Follow my promises into completion.
  • Make sure I pay my bills on time.
  • Refrain from lying.
