go figure, as I hit the 'post to weblog' button on this issue here an email arrived from Jimmy Nilsson. Aparently he got in touch with the .net remoting wiz kid (buy his book, just do it), who pointed out this link as a reply to this nasty rumor about .net remoting going away.
So if we adjust our statement a bit to : .net remoting will not go away, but will have less focus in the future, we should be on the safe side predicting the evolution of .net remoting over a beer :-).
you know what I am up for his book now.
