Parcel Tax
Newark's purposed parcel tax for schools failed with the smallest 'yes' when compared to Bay Area votes in other districts. (The Argus, June 5, 2003). Both Union City and Fremont are considering similiar parcel tax measures for the fall.
The city of Fremont has already decided not to fund the library for the 2003-2004 fiscal year.
