FCC Ruling
Dan Gillmor of San Jose Mercury News has sent up another red flag regarding the copyright grab that will be given to Hollywood by the Federal Communications Commission. What will that mean to you and me? The ruling is prevent online trading of movies and TV shows, but Gillmor says that the other goal is to force user into a pay-per-view for all TV, no copying, no running through commercials and no personal copies.
Only a slight step more is needed to prevent libraries from "sharing" its copies of DVDs and videos. Technical innovation would stop because all digital media would be copyrighted and controlled. Read more at http://www.dangillmor.com/blog/
