Learning, learning... Little report-back: the blogroll is rolling, beginningly, with only a few mysteries (e.g. why did gems/blogroll.opml render but gems/stories.opml bring a wider-than-wide error message directly into the blogroll box: "...gems/stories.opml could not be displayed because it couldn't be turned into an outline..." or some such. What? It had exactly the same structure as the successful one. Coders' toe-stubs. So I ditched it.
