The Importance Of Clean Code

I've seen the light...and it's telling me to start using clean code with CSS and XHTML when building my sites instead of my usual junky, table-packed code.

I've been reading a lot about creating clean code that ACTUALLY VALIDATES when you check it, and I must admit my code really sucked.  I ran some of my pages through a validator and got back pages full of errors.  Doh!  The more errors you have in your code, the harder you make it for the SE spiders to crawl and rank your pages.

In order to clean up my new code AND go back and clean up all the garbage I've been spreading all over the web, I bought Macromedia Studio MX 2004 with Flash Pro.  This suite of coding tools is UNREAL - I've got so much power in my hands now I don't even know what to do with it all.  I'm doing my best to use valid XHTML and CSS on all of my new sites -- I'll be reporting back to you when I start seeing how this switch affects my search engine placement.
