Review Me Launches With A Big Splash
Sponsored Post:
The Review Me website has just launched, and they're making a big splash all around the blogging world by taking a dose of their own medicine -- they're paying bloggers for honest reviews of their service. You see, the entire premise of the site is to offer advertisers a long list of bloggers willing to write paid reviews of their products and services.
I really like this service, and plan to use it both as an advertiser and as a paid blogger on a separate, reviews-only blog that will be built from scratch just for services like this. This ideas has been around for a while, but this implementation is superior for several reasons:
- The reviews can be either positive, negative, or neutral -- there is no pressure to provide artificially positive reviews just because you're being paid.
- All participating blogs are ranked by "power" in the blogging world - those blogs that have more pull and rankings in the search engines get paid more than new blogs or blogs that don't quite have the reach of their larger brothers.
- Blogs are also sorted by niche - technology, education, toys, investing, etc. This sorting and categorizing gives advertisers an excellent way to target their market - choose a good mix of powerful, medium, and new blogs in your target market, set your budget, and let the reviews rip -- assuming you are confident that your product or service will produce positive reviews you have the power to generate instant buzz in the online community of your choice. This kind of reach and "eyeball" power cannot be beat.
In the next month or so ReviewMe will be opening up their affiliate program, where you will be able to earn money by referring either bloggers or advertisers into the program. Check back at their site often (I would subscribe to their blog)so that you can get in on the affiliate program at the earliest opportunity -- this could be a huge moneymaker for you and your blog network.
