Today we took a walk down to the waterfront which is just two blocks south on Western Ave. then two blocks West on Broad Street to Alaska Way. There we walked south along the water. Today at noon was one of the lowest tides of the year, one could really smell the tidelands. As we walked south, we met several hundred people that were walking and jogging north for a Cystic Fibrosis cause. We stopped at Pier 66 to look at the cruise ship taking on provisions. This ship is one of three cruise ships in port for the weekend. As we continued south along Alaska Way to the Pike Place Hillclimb, more CF walkers were coming down the steps as we went up to Western Avenue. We passed by the Market and headed north along Western for about a mile to our home. A beautiful day in the neighborhood, not too warm though, but sunny and mild.
