Rick Neuheisel betting on college basketball, is out as Football coach of the Washington Huskies.

IMClone head gets 7 years. If he gets 7 years do the heads of World Com, Enron and Anderson Consulting get three consecutive life sentences each?

VH1 music news Top 100 for the last 25 years. A song named after a teen deoderant and sung by depressed morons from Aberdeen made it to number one  --- "other" got 50% of the online votes. The Boss was mentioned at number 29. Apparently the songs were selected by the executives at VH1. No Doubt!

The song selection may have been just the most popular of those that were played on VH1 for the past 25 years but they sure weren't the most important. I've been listening to Rock and Roll since its inception. There are songs out there that kick the ass of most of the VH1 selection. The Stones could fill half of the slots, while Bruce Springsteen could fill the rest. Groups like The Who, Pink Floyd, Cheap Trick, Metallica, and Queen were mentioned but whatever happened to The Cars, Led Zeppelin and Santana. A whole world of music was opened when Soft Cell brought out tainted love to the front.

That's just my opinion.

Lynnette went to the cd3o focus group this evening. She said that the concensus was that the remote selected information needed to be spoken by a woman not a man. The man's voice could not be understood very well, while the woman's voice was rather clear and understandable. The system is a little bit expensive for just transmitting MP3s to the stereo system. It should do more, maybe pictures, LCD on the remote, PDA interface and self-amplify for headphones. That would be worth $300.

Scoble commented on Dan Shafer's mind numbing criticism of Microsoft Word 10. So I went to Shafer's site and read his comments. I immediately opened Word, copied some from Shafer's web site, opened a new doc and pasted, then changed the font from Times New Roman 9 to Ariel 18 and it worked like a charm.

I used Win2K Advanced Server as a gaming platform for a year. The only time the OS crashed was when I installed Real Audio Jukebox. Jukebox tried to access the kernal. Smashed the OS.

I have been running XP since it came out on a computer I assembled from scratch. I have never had a problem with an application. I have a new Toshi Satellite Pro with XP OS and XP Office developer, narry a problem. We installed Win3K Enterprise server on the scratch computer, added more RAM and have no problems. In fact, I think most problems are caused by hard drive errors. I learned this when I was building NT 4.0 servers for a construction company (three of these servers are still running after 4 years of abuse without ever having a problem). I found that to get a perfect install one had to format the hard drive at least two times to get all the bits in a row. If the install hung up anywhere, you must reformat twice to get rid of all the ghost footprints. As for the Toshi, I have had not problems so no factory hard drive error in the install. Just a comment from experience.

I'm staying home today, apparently I have caught a cold. Probably from sitting in the cold air at the ballet. It was 90 degrees outside, inside was air conditioned to the max.

I have been reading all the Jupitor Weblog blogs. Very interesting and exciting. One idea most appealing is connecting to ones own web site. By mistake I have put a picture of some Paris grafitti in my blog that is connected to my website that blatently promotes the Alexandria Condominiums where I live.

I'm don't have a lot of time to dedicate to web development but am doing a little bit at a time.
