Today at 4PM, a northbound motorcyclist wrecked his bike on the Alaskan Way Viaduct. He was turning right off the Viaduct on to the Senaca Street exit. The bike was laying on its side in the middle of the right turn, the motorcyclist was sitting on the curb looking at the mass of snarled traffic going buy. He seemed to be OK. Two City of Seattle transportation crews was putting out flairs and directing traffic around a bus that was stopped waiting to make the turn. I drive this route home daily and get off on the Western Avenue exit. I won't presume that he wrecked the bike because the road was wet and he was going too fast. The Alaskan Way Viaduct has to go. Even though I drive it each evening I would use some other way of getting home.
