| Anna Lindh Dies from Stab Wounds |
| Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh died early Thursday morning, after prolonged surgery, from severe internal bleeding and injuries to her liver. Lindh was stabbed while shopping at a downtown Stockkholm department store Wednesday afternoon. |

| On the eve of the anniversary of the September 11th attacks in the United States, speaking at the Olof Palme International Center Ken Roth, head of Human Rights Watch said that terrorism has been a double challenge for human rights and justice. Thursday is also the 30th anniversary of the military coup in Chile, and the Palme Center is holding a seminar, among the participants some of the many refugees from Chile who fled here after the coup. |
