Probe for sleep deprivation show. The sleep deprivation TV programme Shattered is being investigated by the media watchdog. [BBC News | Entertainment | TV and Radio | UK Edition]
I worked at a factory with shifts that swung from 12 hours on to 12 hours off. Twice in over year of working there I had hallucinations. Usually it was in my peripheral vision, and it usually consisted of thinking someone was standing about 4 to 5 fee away from me. But that was it, it appears that real sleep deprivation forces the hallucinations a lot more consistently and quicker than I thought. That's the impression I got from this article anyways.
