What the BLEEX Is That?. Designed for firefighters, rescue workers, combat soldiers and others who might have to move heavy loads in the course of their duties, BLEEX is an exoskeleton that lets the average person carry much more than normally possible. [Wired News]
Frightening as always how far we've come, and funny at the same time. The thing has a large pump hidden in the backpack that makes it all work. Kind of reminds me the huge power supply that had to sit externally to the old iCube Power Macintosh computer. Not quite so small now when you look at the large silver box tethered between it and the wall. If Honda got a hold of the exo-skeleton and combined it with it's current crop of robots, lookout boy! That robot's going to be able to carry a machine gun and a pile of ammo.

TOEs kick into high gear. TCP/IP offload engines, or TOEs, can open up more bandwidth for transporting data between storage devices and application servers. [Computerworld News]
I'm starting to see an uptick in the articles on iSCSI. I'm beginning to wonder if it's due to some upcoming announcements from different manufacturers. I hope the vendors aren't manipulating the press behind the scenes. This info about Offload Engines is interesting because I recognized the term from Adaptec's white papers on iSCSI. They've championed this protocol longer than anyone and was closest to releasing product when the standard was finally published.
