Che-ez! Foxz2 2mp CMOS. The 'cheap and cheerful' Che-ez! brand today announced their new ultra-compact ultra-slim Foxz2 digital camera, with a fixed focal length lens and basic functionality it's not exactly a remarkable camera however it is another compact camera with a two megapixel CMOS sensor (unusual in itself). The Foxz2 is also impressively slim at just 9.8 mm (0.4 in). The... [Digital Photography Review (dpreview.com)] When I looked at the specs on this camera I knew right away they had, HAD to be using the SmalCamera development kit. The giveaway was lithium polymer battery. And recharging through the USB interface. Instead of the regular boring small cameras from Logitech, this one is a real novel combo. They are utilizing every bell and whistle SmalCamera included. It has a memory card slot, a built-in LCD, and a flash unit. And it's utilizing the 2MPixel version of the kit. I think this puts it at the third generation of the development kit. I had hoped Logitech would try keeping up with SmalCamera and use its newer kits as time went on. Instead they are staying 2-3 generations behind the most current development kits SmalCamera is putting out. I will now look seriously at purchasing a Che-ez camera as the next cheap small camera I buy. I've wanted a memory card for a long time, and more resolution is a nice feature (although I don't need much more than 2MPixels that's for sure). 6:30:29 PM    comment []

People aren't able to share video projects they are working on, between computers. There are many scheduling conflicts that could be resolved by having people use an available machine rather than the one they started their project on. These boxes have a gigabit interface on them, and they sound like they can have two of them if you configure them that way.
