The Resurgent Mac This year has been by far the best year for anyone using a Mac just in terms of not feeling like an outcast in the family of Desktop PC users. The iPod has raised the fortunes and visibility of Apple, to the point that the Stock Market has finally taken notice too. Now the irrational exuberance of a rising and soon to be splitting stock has everyone falling over themselves to get in on the action. This is a critical time for Apple to keep the momentum going all the way to June when the MacWorld trade show allows them to show off the shipping version of the 'Tiger' OS. If they play their cards right, they can keep the media frenzy going and gain just enough mind share to push themselves further into the Enterprise. And the XRaid hasn't hurt one bit, it is the Trojan horse for Apple in many Enterprise Data Centers. Here's to the marketing geniuses who came up with the idea of selling the XRaid into PC only shops. |
